Using cables with 4 twisted pairs, the signal is conducted from the distribution rack to the workstation under the false floor, around the perimeter with trunking or through the ceiling.

The final casing integrates the power supply and Voice and Data signals to provide service to the workstation. The connection to the Terminal equipment (computer, telephone or fax) is through a Voice and Data patch cord.
